Richard Herrmann

photo of Richard HerrmannRichard K. Herrmann is a partner in Morris James' Intellectual Property Group. His practice includes many forms of complex litigation, including commercial, technology and intellectual property.

Mr. Herrmann has published numerous books and articles relating to the law and technology. His works appear monthly in the Delaware State Bar Association's magazine. He teaches Electronic Discovery and technology related courses at William & Mary Law School, Widener University School of Law, and the National Judicial College. Mr. Herrmann is the Director of Widener's Technology and Law Center. He chairs the Corporate Counsel Technology Institute at Widener and is the Senior Technology Law Advisor to William and Mary.

Mr. Herrmann co-chairs the United States District Court's technology committee and is a member of the District Court's Advisory Committee. He chairs the Delaware State Bar Association's Technology Committee and is former chair of that association's Computer Law Section. In November 2004, Mr. Herrmann was named as one of Delaware's "Power Attorneys" by Delaware Today magazine. He was also selected by his peers as one of The Best Lawyers in America (2005 and 2006 editions).
