Colette Perkins – Bio

As the Litigation Support and Technology Education Specialist at the Center for Legal and Court Technology, Colette’s primary focus is to offer expertise regarding best practices of legal software and hardware applications.  Colette provides instructional design, teaches, and staffs innovative, professional legal technology courses for the law school and legal community.  Colette works closely with CLCT to craft an essential paralegal outreach program. She also serves as the CLCT’s assistive technology specialist.

Colette Perkins is the founder of Emerging Litigation Technologies, LLC and a proven strategic thought leader and expert in the litigation technology field.  She develops and teaches numerous legal technology customized courses and seminars and is an expert in distance learning.  She previously held positions at Hunton & Williams as a Litigation Technology Specialist, and Williams Mullen as their Litigation Technology Manager.

Colette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Akron and numerous certifications and professional training in litigation support applications.  She actively participates and contributes her expertise for nationally recognized legal associations, such as the OLP, ALSP, Women in eDiscovery, EDRM Project, ALM, and ILTA, to name a few.   Colette resides in Quinton, Virginia with her husband and their daughter.
