Courtroom 21 Names Two Court Reporting Fellows

Williamsburg, VA - November 21, 2001

Pat Lutza, RPR, CRR, of Lansing, Mich., and Carol Hill, RMR, CRR, CMRS, of West Point, Va., have been named the first Court Reporting Fellows of the Courtroom 21 project at the College of William and Mary Law School in Williamsburg, Va.

Professor Fred Lederer of the law school, director of the Courtroom 21 Project, made the presentations during the State Leadership Conference. "We selected Pat and Carol for their excellence as court reporters, their meritorious use of technology to enhance and improve the litigation process, their public spirited willingness to assist and educate others to the ethical and responsible use of legal technologies and their commitment to the Courtroom 21 Project," he said. "Both Pat and Carol have given of themselves unselfishly, and we wanted to recognize them for their extraordinary efforts as we have previously done with Litigation Fellows."

Courtroom 21 is a joint effort of the law school and the National Center for State Courts. Professor Lederer thanked the National Court Reporters Foundation for its ongoing support of the project, which is visited by hundreds of judges and court administrators each year from around the country and the world.
