Understanding, Planning and Expectations in Courthouse Construction & Renovation
Williamsburg , VA , February 7, 2006 - Courtroom 21 Project presents the Courthouse Renovation and Construction Conference, May 10-11, 2006 At William and Mary Law School’s McGlothlin Courtroom. The conference will focus on the construction process, timeline, team selection, design and construction phases, and construction from the “Judge’s View.” In addition, there will be an expert panel discussion and special group discussions.
The conference is designed for judges, court administrators and executive offices of court-related agencies who are interested in, or will be involved in, courthouse construction or renovation projects. Special emphasis will be placed on points in the process where critical decisions on technology and security should be made, selecting an appropriate contracting strategy, and understanding the roles and decision-making responsibilities of key participants during this time.
The conference takes place in the McGlothlin Courtroom which houses Courtroom 21, the world’s most technologically advanced trail and appellate courtroom located at William & Mary School of Law.
