Court Technologist Audio/Video Certification Course

Williamsburg, VA, January 7, 2006In its continuing effort to provide a quality standard for court personnel responsible for audio and video systems, Courtroom 21 and William and Mary Law School will host a Court Technologist Audio/Video Certification Program.
The course will be held March 8-10, 2006 at the William and Mary School of Law in Williamsburg, VA and space is limited. Cost of the program is $600.00, with discounts for Courtroom 21 Court Affiliates personnel. Course instruction will be given by Martin Gruen, an expert in the field of courtroom design and John Byram, Chief Audio Visual Engineer for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida. Martin has over 30 years experience in the field and has designed many of the nation’s state-of-the-art court technology installations. John has a background in broadcast engineering and has designed and installed the Fiber Optics network used throughout many of the courthouses and locations within the Ninth Judicial Circuit.
Designed to identify and educate to the basic technical and/or mechanical requirements needed to support their local court system, course coverage includes topics on audio and video display systems, video telecommunication systems, control systems, cabling infrastructure, basic maintenance and repair and an introduction to blueprints and construction issues.
